who are professionals (or striving for professionalism) in their field and open to exchange.
Partisanship to Estonian culture is noted but not required.
Financial aspects
 Short-term 1 month residency:
  • we expect a contribution of € 300
  • we provide a production grant of up to € 50 and help you to get connected with the local community. If possible and desired, we will also work with you towards a public presentation of residency outcome.
  • travel costs, accommodation costs (we can help you to find accommodation: a nice hostel at the heart of Viljandi), daily living costs and studio fees (incl. costs for materials and appliance rent)  are at the resident’s expense.
– Long-term 3 month residency
  • we expect a contribution of € 900
  • we provide studio space,  production grant of up to € 150 and we will help you to get connected with the local community. We will also work with you towards creating an exhibition, concert, workshop or other public event by the end of the residency.
  • travel costs, accommodation costs (we can help you to find accommodation: a nice hostel at the heart of Viljandi), daily living costs and studio fees (incl. costs for materials and appliance rent) are at the resident’s expense.

Residents are chosen by a committee.

Residency period: November 27, 2017 - April 30, 2108
Application period: October 1 - November 19, 2017
application deadline: November 19 (results published no later than November 24, residents are notified via e-mail)


Residency period: May 1 - October 31, 2018
Application period: March 12 - April 22, 2018
